Dmitry Donik, Director of Strategy at Voskhod, and Nikita Kharisov, Creative Director of the Atom Holding, spoke about the project.
The session on city branding brought together participants from various regions. Speakers from Nizhny Novgorod shared their experiences: their “rocky” journey toward creating an attractive image for the city began back in 2019. Over the course of several years, they succeeded in changing perceptions of Nizhny Novgorod, and the number of tourists doubled. Yekaterinburg has yet to achieve this, noted Dmitry Donik:
I’d like to believe that what we’re doing in Yekaterinburg won’t just remain on paper either. As part of brand-building, we still need to "activate" the idea and put it to work for the city. We need to ensure that the brand takes root in city initiatives and the tourism community.
In this regard, the interest in the topic is a good sign. The room where the discussion took place was packed — even despite the “star power” of Ida Galich, the moderator of the parallel session.
