Church Identity

Church brand identity is a rare case in designing practice. That’s why developing a new logo and identity for the Word of life church was a non-trivial task for Voskhod team.
Word of life was established in Sweden and since 1995 it has been working in Russia. The Russian representation of the religious community used the logo inherited from the Swedish branch. But it’s symbolic framework lost it’s former meaning and could provoke ambiguous interpretations. Voskhod offered the client a simpler and more modern logo. We used a counterform to combine the key images – Bible and Latin cross – and to create capacious and clear message to the audience. The new identity of the church is based on the logo. The radial gradient looks interesting in it’s context – it gives a peculiar glow effect.
