It’s 5 months since the Russian digital industry has been surviving through the most extreme working conditions. Among the most distressing factors is bankruptcy procedures initiated by the Russian Google.

In May, the country’s advertising community united to file a class action lawsuit. We were looking for ways to get back the funds stuck in the ad cabinets and also to promote bankruptcy moratorium.

Voskhod has also got in touch with California. The Master Google has been insisting on their inability to do anything under the current circumstances.

The Russian laws state the founder company (in our case, Google International LLC) bears subsidiary liability to creditors if its actions somehow provoked the bankruptcy. Google has repeatedly ignored the requirements of the Roskomnadzor (federal media watchdog) to restrict access to information prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation. This has incurred the billion-dollar fines. The debt of the Russian Google to dozens of advertising agencies exceeds hundreds of millions of rubles. For many years of the partnership relations, we have helped Google LLC to earn money in Russia. Now the partners are unwanted.
